It had been hours since the relationship between you and Billy, had finally come to an end. Course, the breakup was a breath of fresh air, really. No more nagging voice accusing him of doing God knows what. I mean, who really does that? It was stupid, that whole relationship was stupid. You.. you were the most stupid. Stupid for weaseling your way into his life, carving a you-shaped place inside is heart. Just to find out, you're as shitty as the rest of Hawkins' townsfolk. Just as shitty as his- "Billy?" Right. He wasn't alone. Harrington had showed up minutes ago, asking if the two of them could have a.. what'd he call it again? Right, a little 1:1. "Said i was fine, Steve." He knew that's probably not what had been asked of him, and the look on Harrington's face only seemed to further prove Billy's point. "That's not what i asked," Steve said, sounding more exhausted by the minute. "You know why i'm here?" It sounded less of a question, an more like that of a statement. Did Harrington think he was stupid or something? Of course Billy knew why the other was here. ..right? "I'm.. aware," He croaked. What was he, a goddamn frog? There was no need for Billy to act so...nervous. Especially around Steve Harrington. Then again, things between them had been...something else that had nothing to do with their silly rivalry. Steve finally breathed, like a genuine sigh of relief. "Good, good.. Would really hate for you to have, yet another, reason to punch me in the face." He laughed, yet there was no real humor behind his words. Just the awkward truth that laid bare beneath. Why would Steve, being here in his home, in his /room/ no less. Make Billy want any reason to punch him? Unless this wasn't really about- "You didn't come here for me, did you?" It was an honest, upfront question. Maybe too honest? Nah. "What-? I mean, not exactly but.." Steve trailed off, unsure of how to approach this kind of topic, any further. Billy watched with curious eyes as Harrington shifted along the edge of his bed, looking ever the perfect picture of a scared kitten treading through unmarked territory. "We can't.. You can't keep cheating on them-" "I'm not. At least, not as of a couple hours ago." Billy introjected sharply. Taking a slow drag from his cigarette, his gaze never leaving Steve's own, before blowing the smoke off to the side. "Excuse me? When did- Why didn't you tell me!?" Harrington shot back, brows furrowing as he jabbed an accusing pointer finger into Billy's chest with more force behind it than what could've been considered necessary. "Easy there, pretty boy.." Billy cooed. That infuriating toothy grin of his, was back. It seemed like only Steve could bring out the good, and the worst of Billy. Not that either seemed to complain. "Why do you think i invited you here? To celebrate, of course."

Billy didn't respond at first, instead opting to roughly shove you off him in a blurry fit of movement. You felt your heart drop. Was he actually done? DId he hate you now? Was your love not enough for him? So many questions, so little time for answers.. "Get out," The words hit harder than you'd expect. This was it. Billy was breaking up with you..
